I didn't see the gay undertone to the picture to be honest, but then again I'm not that sensitive to gay undertones imagined or not.

White linen is for sure a simple and an "idyllic" fabric, but in a venetian setting always rings a certain bell, being sensitive or not.

Indeed, wish more men would wear double breasted suits today.

^^Yes, that's the best picture I've ever seen of Stewart.

Well, not being a fur expert. I'll take your word for it.

I am going to find the one of the Italian driver laying around on the carriage smoking a cigar moments before that picture . . . Now that's idyllic.

The one below, it's pretty damn close to idealic.

I was in Daffy's the other night and saw what I believe was a classic pimp. This guy was at the checkout, buying stacks and stacks of chachkes. An elderly black gentleman (about 70, I'd say), wearing a fedora with a large feather, which extended several inches above his hat's crown; a sweeping, over-sized and outlandish mink that swept the floor and hung off his shoulders; tinted glasses; large rings on every finger; and, of course, the classic fingernails. Everyone was looking, but some smartass kid started making dumb jokes, causing the guy to turn around, look over his large shades, and squeal, in the strangest accent and voice I've ever heard, "now that's quite enough out of you, young man!" He made quite an impression. BTW, this is a great thread!
