What do you think of it compared to the older machine you had?

Can't really say after one day, but I like the design more, and it seems to function very well. you seem to know a lot about Nespresso. Are you somehow involved with them, or just a fran?

I have one. Took me five months to pull a drinkable shot (my standards may be higher than others). But the drinkable shots are heavenly.

I'd love a Nespresso machine for my office. The Clitty sounds promising.

until then, I put a Gaggia Classico on my registry.

Fan. Actually, I shouldn't be, since I've had 4 defective machines. That's how I picked up all the knowledge - continually shopping for new hardware. It was a bit depressing there for a while but I really can't beat the experience. Grinding and tamping is such a pain in the ass once you've been doing the Nespresso thing for a any length of time. I tried to go back to being a native, but once you've been living in the Citiz, its hard going back. Don't forget to fill out the rebate. Can't beat $75 in free coffee.

Want to try this, La Spaziale Vivaldi ii

Haven't found a Nespresso coffee blend I like. Did the pod thing for a couple years but can't go back after grinding and pulling shots on my own.

surely you know that you can sell a silvia easily. not to mention the coffee geek cred you get for buying a livia 90

I didn't mean "pipe wrench and channellocks" type manual brewing...I meant more like: http://www.bialetti.it/uk/catalogue/...asp?id_cat=197 http://www.chemexcoffeemaker.com/ http://frieling.com/products/coffee-and-tea-essentials/ ...type manual brewing...and the Aero-Press is pretty fast, in my most humble and WIRED opinion.
