Food in H Street Corridor (DC)?

Going to a show (no idea what, actually) at Rock & Roll Hotel in DC tonight. Very excited. DC shows, whoo. It's been awhile. Anyway, I'm looking for a place to eat in the area. Saw where the Richmond-based Sticky Rice is there now. Good, cheap, sushi, I know. Tried to get a reservation and had no luck, though. Looks like we'd end up waiting for a long time. Any other suggestions in the area?

That's seriously become an incredible eating destination in DC. Tons of casual but great locations.

1. Granville Moore's - Never been but universally well regarded.
2. Sticky Rice - Been here a few times. Asian fusion spot. Fun too.
3. Liberty Tree - Pizza. I actually know the owners as they own my Capitol hill hangout, Hamilton's. It's been getting a lot of press.
4. Smith Commons - Know little about it (beyond the link), but I want to check it out. Opens on Tuesday: http://www.urbandaddy.com/dc/food/12...ict_Restaurant
5. Biergarten Haus. Traditional style-looking biergarten haus. I went here for its soft opening in the summer. Neat concept, good beer, good brats. Not sure what it's like these days.
6. There are a ton more but these are the spots I've been to or want to check out.

Ok, just read your whole message. I'd say if in doubt just head over there 1.5 before your show or something and walk between 10th and 13th Streets you will find a good spot. Someone else here will be able to give more specific names of places.

Uh, is Ray's near Rock & Roll hotel?

I'm not sure. It's a pretty funny name though, huh?

Actually, they opened a place off Minnesota Ave that isn't that far from H Street if you are driving. I think it's called Ray's Eastside or some such.

Thanks, guys, for all the recommendations. Knew someone at Sticky Rice that got me in. Great little place that lives up to the RVA location.
