I need a new pair of boots for when the weather's too wet for Chucks. I like Frye harness boots but I think, combined with my cuffed RRDS and tattoos, that they may be a bit much - the cumulative effect seems a bit "
"
What I'm looking for is a nice boot that I can wear with my usual fall and winter outfits - cuffed dark jeans, t-shirt with possible layers, and track jacket/hoodie/chore coat.
I have Doc Martens, and I want something with a different profile, maybe slimmer. I wear a lot of black, charcoal, gray, and white, and I'm not sure whether to go with black or oxblood.
Chelsea boots are a possibility. I've never owned a pair of chelseas, and I'm not sure if a pair of rubber-soled slim chelseas either exists, or would be appropriate for the kind of outfit I described.
Anyway, I'm just looking for ideas here. Thanks for any input.
