Could those with some experience in this area enlighten me a bit on which pair would be worth my monies? I've had Shure in the past and liked them good, but am pretty interested in the x10i's.

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

I went from some lower end Ultimate Ears, to Nu-Force NE-7m, to Klipsch Custom-3s, S4s, and finally stepped up the the X10. They sounded good, but I was underwhelmed. I wanted something warmer and heavier on the bass, and although the X10 is one of the best out there for that, I found the Monster Turpine Pro - Golds to be exactly what I was looking for. I almost dismissed them outright due to the monster name, but they blow the X10s out of the water for listening pleasure IMO. Not as small or light (they're a very hefty IEM) but the build quality is the best of anything I've owned, the cable is great, and I'm incredibly happy with the sound.

I can't directly speak for this level of IEM but I really dislike the way how the Klipsch stand out of the ears. It's the same problems with UltimateEars, it just didn't feel solid to me when it sticks out like that. The Shure look better to me in that regards. If you don't need that funky headset button stuff, I'd second to give the mentioned top-end Westones a try. I have the Westone UM1 and just love them.

The X10 is so tiny, there is no protrusion at all. That was definitely the best part about them.
