Had she wanted, say, 500 dollar shoes, I would have laid out 500. The 200 was just a figure. I have found with girls, especially when you're just shopping, it makes sense to have an internal limit and an external limit. Besides, aside from cotillion, prom, grad and a wedding, no girl needs a dress that costs more than 200 for regular wear.
As for being an entertainer, she's a lounge singer. And as of today, a p/t cosmetic counter girl.
