this could've all been avoided by sending the seller a simple pm instead of asking for measurements by directly posting on the thread.

i never understood why people do that. a lot of sellers (like me) don't even check their sale threads unless they want to post something like a price drop. it just seems dumb to do if it's an item you really want, you're decreasing your chances of getting it by bumping up the thread allowing other interested buyers to snatch the item before you do.

or is it a ploy to get the seller to do a price drop since sellers aren't allowed to reply to posts without doing a 5% drop. lol.

that would be a diabolical strategy...but alas, something so well thought-out is not very likely to be realized by the vast majority that can be observed making such posts.
