Fuck, the 80's are slowly creeping back. I knew it would happen eventually.
Hiking boots, nordic and fair isle knits, clunky 1987-Squaw-Valley down coats and $700 velcro strapped Reeboks.
Oh well, I guess the 80's werent all bad. Some of this stuff actually looks pretty interesting.

Really like this stuff, interested to see how they influence other designers as they push the mountain trend stateside. SS11 doesnt do it for me like their fall/winter offerings, but thats expected as outerwear is their strength. As a outdoors person, im all about it, as its a clear extension of a lifestyle, and you can wear it off trail and feel comfortable knowing your steez is functional. The japanese mountain style is something ive always been real interested in, and I hope it means more of the crunchy US workshops sending their product overseas will start offering their wares here. ( danner mtn lights at woodland supply co for example) Is brooklyn mountain research far off? wild things is a US brand licensed out to japan that makes less high fashion style and more 70s crunchy gear thats worth looking at http://search.borderless.rakuten.com...arble-web&l=en

not WM related but I was just looking at something from WildThings... Limoland carries WT Hooded Primaloft jacket as well as the CDW quilted jacket, gnarly colors and their embroidered logo isLimo
