Hey guys, I was just watching a show on the Travel Channel (actually my housemate told me to turn it on, he said I would like it) about custom shoes. As soon as I turned on the show, they showed the studio and workshop. I have never seen pictures of the Lobb studios, but as soon as I saw that I said "that has to be Lobb St. James". Sure enough, it was. What an amazing place. They showed some of the techniques used, including measuring one's foot, creating the wood last, and crafting the actual shoes. Incredible. My favorite part is when they showed the underground archive of lasts - over 16,000 pairs - many, many from famous people. Anyone else have the pleasure of catching this?
