My List (all around $60), in no particular order:

1. Sazerac 18 y/o rye
2. Sazerac 6 y/o rye
3. Rittenhouse 100 (Bottled in Bond) rye
4. Pappy Van Winkle 15 bourbon
5. Noah's Mill
6. Black Maple Hill (you all hate it, but I love it)

I love some Black maple Hill. I'll have to try the others on your list, as I'm unfamiliar with ALL of them.

Just bought a bottle of the Rittenhouse 100 today - $20. I bought it as a cheaper alternative to Sazerac 6 y/o for use in Manhattans, and I've got to say, it's every bit as good.

Well, if this was Scotch I could speak with a little more experience -- I strongly defer to gnatty and ama for bourbon, and IU on rye. I also can't really rank ryes in with bourbons. My favorite bourbon right now is the Pappy 20, and like gnatty, followed by Eagle 17. Like IU, I also really enjoy Black Maple Hill. Rye-wise, Rittenhouse 21, followed by the incredible Sazerac 18. I also love Saz 6 for mixing. ~ H

What is best for watering down with Coke? Are any of those sold in plastic bottles?

Pappy Van Winkle's 20 matches perfectly with plenty of ice and Coke. Remember to use a frozen glass.

The 23yr old is actually even better for mixing with coke. Be sure to add a twist of lime too, it really tones down the harshness.

That one goes better with 7-up IMHO. To each his own.

PvW 15 over 20 for me. And Four Roses doesn't belong on that list at all imo.

Templeton Rye should be on there.

I'll also admit a fondness of Old Potrero 18th Century...
