for christmas I'm looking to get a bone in rib roast. I was looking online and came across a few USDA prime and USDA choice. Im curious if its worth the price increase for the prime? also I've never made a roast and I know there are a few different types so if anyone knows from experience a better different type of roast suggestions are welcome

thankss

I think Prime is worth the price-at least for steaks.

Really depends on the roast some choice cuts are marbled very well. If you have a Costco near you, they actually sell their roasts at pretty damn good prices, even for prime. If you're buying online and you're able to afford the difference I'd say go with prime.
