Can I live without in-suite laundry? - Page 2

You will be kicking yourself in about 2 weeks if you don't have it in your place. It's a little extra money, but if you are traveling weekly, you will appreciate your time at home and not your time in a laundromat.

For someone who's never had to rent - what does insuite laundry mean - does that mean a washer/dryer in your apartment, or just in your building?

Personally I could live with it if it wasn't in my (imaginary) apartment, but I couldn't deal with having to leave the building and find a laundromat - especially when it's 30 below and I just want clean undies

In-suite laundry means you have your own washer and dryer actually in your apartment. Most condos have this while most apartment buildings don't, but condo units are usually more expensive to rent, although not by much.

Just about every apartment building has a laundry room, so I don't think he would have to actually go to a laundromat unless his building is REALLY ghetto.

Nothing beats pick-up and delivery

It depends... I looked forward to laundry day because the one I went to had a full bar, free wifi, and billiards tables.

But, nothing compares to having your own laundry, especially if you're anal about washing clothes.

What's up with people who fold their laundry in the laundry room? I just throw mine in my laundry basket and then fold them once I get back to my apartment. It's not like they'll get wrinkled from being crumpled up for 2 minutes.

UPS that stuff to your mom. I've never touched a laundry machine in my life.
