their website looks like shit.
i would never buy from a site where they do not care about making their products look presentable.

^ Well too bad for you then. Just tried the Vostok - lathers up very well and is very cooling. Nice scent as well. Easily comparable to Harris, Trumpers etc.

Will try the Vetvier on Monday and see how that holds up. So far its very good at half the price of the big Brit brands.

Cooling? Is there menthol in it?

Yup - quite a bit. A lot like Proraso.

Exactly.

Two of the worst designed websites (I've seen here on SF) advertising otherwise great products - Inverallan and Pediwear - tell you that your reasoning doesn't make sense, and if you miss out then you miss out.

You want a bar of soap with quality ingredients, or you want an advertisement advertising a family bonding over a bar of soap?

I'm going to try the unscented shaving cream since I don't like scented products.

I like the idea of the shaving sticks - rub directly on face and build up lather. Price is decent as well.

The idea is nice but the one I tried was so disappointing that I gave up. It wasn't Mama Bear, though, it was QED which was really well-regarded at the time. I suspect I was doing something wrong, but I'm not really willing to change my routine just to accommodate something I can just as easily do without.

Tried the Vetvier earlier today - good stuff. I recommend this line to wetshavers - nice 'artisanal' product at an attractive price.

Had the exact same experience with QED's sticks. Their soaps weren't anything to write home about either. I kind of felt let down after ALL the hype on the shaving fora at the time.
