Agreed- I was amazed that it was so clean on the first fit.

I agree—it looks good, and that's a nice lapel roll.

I've noticed that Frank's been getting the roll higher and more relaxed lately. I was also there this morning for the forward fitting of my most recent commission (a 3-roll-2 sportcoat), and he told me that he marked the middle button placement higher after the basted fitting so that Mike would get the roll higher, and then brought it down slightly for the forward fitting. This seemed to work, because it fit perfectly and has a great roll...

I've been really happy with the stuff I've been getting from Ercole's lately; I think Frank's got my pattern dialed in at this point. Now it gets really dangerous...laugh.gif

Frank did the same for the 3-2 barleycorn tweed I picked up yesterday. I was really happy with the roll.

I'm glad I live in Philly, it keeps my bank account a little bit safer.

As expected, the Brooklyn shop was too much for me to resist.  I went in 3 months ago looking to get a suit, and I've ended up with 3 shirts, 1 suit, and a pair of wool trousers.  My poor, poor wallet.

ddgl, I personally disagree with your wanting to shorten the jacket and narrow the shoulders.

Ultimately didn't touch the shoulders, though the jacket was shortened on the line that Frank made (visible in the photos).  It came out looking fantastic- I'm picking it up sometime this week.
