one little girl says " I'm so hungry I could eat at Arby's." That still slays me. Also, once Homer is holding a peanut in the palm of his hand and offers it to the elephant statue in Apu's convenience store: Homer: "Here little fella, little fella." Apu: "Homer, please do not feed a peanut to my God!"

Chief Wiggum: This is Papa Bear. Put out an APB for a male suspect, driving a... car of some sort, heading in the direction of, uh, you know, that place that sells chili. Suspect is hatless. Repeat, hatless.

and the last one for tonight:

Kent Brockman: Down here at Springfield Mall, a storm-addled crowd seems to have turned its rage on the Leftorium. Surprisingly, people are grabbing things with both hands, suggesting it's not just southpaws in this rampaging mob.

Me too

George Takei, as sadistic Japanese TV game show host, to Homer: Our game shows work a little differently than yours. In America, you reward knowledge. In Japan, we punish ignorance.

Homer: Is it Batman?!
Marge: No, it's a scientist!
Homer: Batman's a scientist.
Marge: It's not Batman!

Meestah spa-koru (Ja-pa-nee-zu coma-sharu)*

*Mr. Sparkle (Japanese comercial)

First time I'd seen this. Condenses the non-sequitur inanity of Japanese TV into just over a minute.

i like the one where homer strangles bart and bart's tongue waggles. that's not a quote, i guess. so... that Springfield glacier episode, all the kids are pulling the bus up the mountain and that little stupid silly kid says "this is just like fitzcarraldo" and the bully kid punches him and says "that movie is flawed" or some such thing. his comment could have been expanded, i thought, but it would not be so funny.

Kent Brockman: Springfield is still swooning from the whirlwind visit of playful plutocrat, Arthur Fortune.
Burns: Oh, the man has no idea how to behave like a billionaire. Where's the dignity? Where's the contempt for the common man?

Mr. Burns: So, Smithers, what are you doing this weekend. Something gay, I expect?
Smithers: What?!!
Mr. Burns: You know, light and fancy free! Mothers, lock up your daughters! Smithers is on the town!
Smithers: Oh! Of course.

Ned Flanders: A rude Frenchman. Why I never.

Mr. Burns: Well, I say let Harvard have its football and academics. Yale will always be first in gentlemanly club life.

Jon.
