Suits at Macy's - Page 2

Oh, Macys....

I had brought a suit there...... once or twice.

Very Low Quality.

Then I went to Century 21; much better.

Once you try on Brioni; it's very, very hard to go back to those low to middle brands.

Of course, it can get better, Kiton and Attolini.

I kid you not, KID YOU NOT:

I was braving Black Friday at a suburban mall today. Young salesman in the furnishings department wearing:

1) A black DB 6x2 suit at least four sizes too big. So large he could have easily carried twins in a Baby Bjorn under the jacket with room to spare.

2) A frayed white polo-style short-sleeved knit shirt with a tie.

My god.

My god.

You mean a short-sleeved shirt is not to be worn with a suit that is four sizes too big?

Macy's was good for someone like me, since I'm a 36S so Nordstrom's rack, Marshalls was out. I picked up an athletic fitted DKNY for ~300 tax inc. at a 50% Macy's sale.

For all the contempt for Macy's on this forum, I bought a Macy's Alfani suit almost nine years ago (before I knew better). Would I buy it today? Of course not, but I'll have to say it has been a perfectly serviceable, reasonably attractive garment. Of course, I'll admit that I wear suits infrequently, so it hasn't seen a lot of hard use.

Why is Nordstrom Rack out? I was just at one today and there were plenty of 36S suits...
