127 Hours - somebody give James Franco an Oscar

Did anyone get a chance to see this over the weekend? Powerful film, probably Danny Boyle's and James Franco's best so far.

For those who don't know about this it is an artsy take on the Aron Ralston story - the guy who had to cut his hand off in the Grand Canyon after being trapped by a boulder for 5 days.

yeah I saw previews/ads for that. I looks good but I haven't seen it yet. I'm glad to hear Franco's stopped doing stupid poses for Gucci and whiney bitchy acting like in Spiderman and started to actually do some good work.

Isn't he HOSTING the Acadamy Awards for this year?

In all fairness, he was outstanding in Freaks & Geeks.

Not sure about this as I don't really follow stuff like this and I only turn on my TV about once a month. It wouldn't surprise me at all, though.

I think I am going to start carrying my sharp pocket knife with me at all times now.

Saw the film and thought it was very good. I think James Franco and the director did very good jobs.

I happen to really like Franco; he’s a very talented and versatile actor, seems like a down to earth dude, and even a decent writer (http://www.amazon.com/Palo-Alto-Stor...dp/1439163146).

I really foresee him becoming one of the biggest movie stars in the upcoming future and really stepping up his game. He did a myriad of roles, and lately seems like his been linked to almost every big name movie and challenging role.

Plus, the fact that I hear that I look just like him about 10 times a week doesn’t hurt...
