Have you had a chance to look at a Toyota Highlander? It seems like a decent all-around vehicle.

Subarus are pretty notorious for their small back seat. Definitely more like the 3 series than the 5.

Guys, thank you very much once again for the advice. This past weekend we test drove the Acura MDX, RDX, the Toyota 4Runner (08-09 model), and the Lexus RX350 (2008). We loved the RX350 the most (I know, not the most popular choice here). The Acura MDX had a shabby interior in terms of quality (creaky plastics, really bad/thin leather, etc.). The car felt a bit heavy in the turns as well. Nice vehicle, but not for us at this time. The RDX had a very fun engine (that turbo is pretty addicting) but it was too small for us. The 4Runner was pretty great, but the interior left a lot to be desired as I expected. The RX350, while not the most exciting vehicle to drive, is an absolute pleasure. The interior fit/finish, the materials, the silky smooth 270hp engine (faster than the MDX in a straight line), nice Navigation, amazing HID lights (knock the pants off our 330i's HIDs) etc. We got one loaded (less the Mark Levinson system) for a fantastic deal. My wife will be the primary driver, but I will take no issue with driving it whenever I need/want to. Just a great ride all around for us. Thanks again!

Enjoy! Did you get the adaptive headlights? My wife has them and it's pretty cool.

Update: We LOVE the Lexus. It is pretty damn sweet, and I like it much more than I thought I would. Fantastic so far.
