"Killing Walder Frey in this way was almost certainly inspired by the Westerosi child’s tale: The Rat Cook. In it, a man’s son is secretly baked into a pie, and the father proceeds to eat his own son. But the Rat Cook is primarily a tale about guests’ right, the most sacred law that Walder Frey broke."
"The best pie you have ever tasted, my lords. Wash it down with Arbor gold and savor every bite. I know I shall."
A bit miffed they took Lord Manderly's Frey pies and gave them to Arya, then took his GOAT "The Mummers Farce/The North Remembers" speech and gave it to a 12 year old girl. I guess no one in the show really knows who he is... but he's such a great character. Maybe take all the pointless scenes with Missendy and her friend-zoned worm and flesh out actual characters.
This my jam right here:
And if anyone is ever in Chicago, I highly recommend picking up a pie at https://pleasanthousebakery.com/ (they are moving to a new location this month though...I will have to thoroughly taste test their product...you know...to ensure quality didn't suffer)
