The scenes do not have to match up chronologically.

I figured things were not chronological (varys left several episodes ago), but it was sloppy to have the scenes 5 minutes apart in an episode where it seems like the news of the King's death hadnt even made it around yet.

Has anyone else thought that since we now know Jon is a full blooded Targaryen he should theoretically be immune to fire and be able to bond with dragons? Have there been any scenes where Jon showed a resistance to fire in the past?

How 'bout Margery's psychic powers--"Cersei's not here, and neither is the kid. That means the building is going to explode!"

I take it back. There were Tyrell and Martell ships in Dany's fleet. There was enough of a time gap to cover Varys gathering a fleet and bringing it back to Mereen.

At least in GRRM's interpretation, Targs are not immune to fire. Dany's thing was supposed to be a magical event of some sort (the showrunners just reused it), although there was build-up to it in terms of her not being sensitive to hot water and stuff like that.

But he should still theoretically be able to bond with dragons, no?

In the book he burned his hand grabbing Mormont's sword from the fire in order to kill a wight.

After Bran, Jon was the 2nd most experienced skinchanger so yes. Arya was more powerful but lacked any type of experience and training

I hadn't seen a connection between skinchanging and bonding with dragons. Dany hasn't appeared to do any sort of warging/skinchanging when she has interacted with her dragons.

I want to see Tyrion ride a dragon, assuming that they are extremely intelligent beings who were essentially in a "rescue" situation when Tyrion unchained them. I want them at some point to give him a look that says, "I got you, lil' squirt."

I don't think Cersei burned enough of king's landing.

I thought the whole song and dance with the Tyrell army earlier in the season was because the smallfolk were fond of the High Sparrow and not crazy about the Lannisters. If Cersei did anything directly against the High Sparrow, the smallfolk might revolt. But they were fond of Margaery and the Tyrells, so they might excuse a Tyrell army rescuing her.

Cersei pretty much just killed the High Sparrow, 6 other septons, some Faith's Militant dudes....and Margaery and Mace.

Seems like she is either going to have a revolt on her hands, or a population very much welcoming Dany.

Well there's two dragons that need riders. Tyrion and Jonny?

Don't forget Lorus too.

Due to Cersei's actions last night saw the end of the current line for both House Baratheon and House Tyrell.
