Hasn't their patent run out? Why isn't anyone else making capsules for Nespresso? And why aren't there decent "roll your own" refillable capsules yet?

Ah, his comment was right under Batistuta's pic with the $.75, so I thought that was what he was referencing. Wasn't aware of the coming price increase though, so I'll be sure to put in an order before then.

Have a look at Ethical Coffe Company. It's actually by the former Nespresso CEO (90s). Mixed reviews though.

Per their website, not available in the US at the moment.

Well, I mean it is coffee. Totally your choice whether to buy Nespresso or not. Taxes on the other hand...

Patty's a free marketeer. They can charge us as much as they like. So long as someone's willing to pony up for it that's fine with him.

Just got back from a boutique:

The Trieste has a very smoky, almost charred sort of flavor to it. Overwhelms the coffee intensity a bit I think. Picked up a sleeve to experiment with.

The Napoli has a very deep, robust flavor. Like a Ristretto crossed with an Indria. I liked it quite a bit. Picked up 3 sleeves.

I was told supply on these is limited, in the same way that the supply on the flavors was limited, so best get them now.
