I like the original car, but if the car's raison d'etre is its smallness (Mini), I sorta question making bigger and bigger versions...

My parents had the original version of this--the Mini Clubman. It wasn't the worst car ever to come out of British Leyland, but it came pretty darn close... And it had some stiff competition! No idea what the new incarnation is like, though!

It looks cool, but it is dog-ass slow. If you want something in this range that actually moves like it isn't dragging a boat anchor behind it, I suggest an STi.

Granted, it's not nearly as planted as my CTS was but it is deceptively sturdy. wide stance and a low center of gravity help it out quite a bit. oh god... i feel you about dallas drivers. i feel like i'm about to shit in my pants at least once a month because of those assholes. it's only a matter of time...

i was planning on buying it but at 40k.. might just get something else.
