But this is it - only SFers and other style-conscious people would actually notice that they are "peak" lapels. Most people won't even notice. Something cannot be conspicuous if it's not even noticed.

Wow WOW WOWOWOW!

These are superlative.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that the wearer is tall and lean. I'd make the lapel a little narrower than that, but if one is not sold based on these visuals, I doubt anything can.

RLPL 3-Piece SBPL - I actually think the PL works best with a vest . . .it seems Spoo might agree with me too

For the most part, yes. 3pc SBPLs and odd jackets in unusual cloths are best IMO. For me anyhow.

Very nice, Spoo - I've been contemplating a SBPL for some time now. One question: do you find any material difference in button stance as compared to notch lapeled coats?

You should - how tall are you? Im 6'1 - and any time I wear these, heads turn. As someone said upthread, if you are a taller, broad shouldered gentleman, it works.

I like Spoo's a lot, and my next commission will probably be similar. I dislike the more horizontal peaks, like these:

Is it the tautz lapel?

Spoo, what's the size of the peak lapel? About 4.5 inches?
