Are Single breasted peak lapels suits really SF approved?

Those that do like it, do you get them with stronger shoulders and go for a more structured look or do you do this on a softer design?

I have the same shoulder treatment that I have on all my suits. That is a lightly padded but witha clean shoulder line. Basically, just enough padding to clean the shoulder line up no more. In my opinion DB lapels on a SB do add a touch of formality to the coat, so in that sense I don't think they would sit well with a natural shoulder, clients build notwithstanding.

In bussiness mode would denote a pretentious man. I hate that.

Only to go out at night but I wouldn´t wear those.

Why not buy a reasonably priced RTW and see how you like it over time?

Could be an option...

I've never seen peak lapels I liked, even once. Just not a fan.

hi, wondering if anyone can help me...
i recently bought this blue peak lapel blazer from reiss.

ive wore it twice, both times with a crisp white shirt and a silky pocket square. Trying to dress it down and keep it casual looking, i wore it with blue skinny jeans and my dark tan shoes from churches.
Any ideas of wearing it differently still incorporating the same jeans and shoes, ie colour shirt, accesories?
thank you
Jay

They are entirely a matter of choice.

This web board offers no crutch to those who cannot make up their own minds - and nor should it.

-Skinny dark tie
-I like the white shirt but it should have a small collar to match the small lapel otherwise it will be out of scale
-No pocket square or a simple white linen with a TV fold

I'm pretty sure those are just horizontal peaks. The picture below was posted by, I believe, Manton or one of the other cognoscenti (Medwards, perhaps) over at AAAC when asked about an example of a Tautz lapel many years. (It appears that the original thread over there has been lost, so I can't be sure.)

EDIT: A Suitable Wardrobe's photos aren't linkable. Here's the page with the picture of a Tautz lapel: http://asuitablewardrobe.dynend.com/...questions.html
