What Were You Wearing 10 Years Ago? WAYWRN-X - Page 4

Ten years ago I was much fatter. So I actually fit into RTW. While still having something of my current love of dramatic clothing, my size and more junior role (not to mention, the associated relative financial restriction) meant I generally wore lots of mid-market department store items from the likes of House of Fraser, John Lewis, Allders, M&S, and so on. Some interesting colours, but generally more conservative and restrained than I wear these days. Losing weight really did help me shake off some sartorial shackles. It took me years to adjust to a different figure though; for years afterward I still wore items that didn't really suit my new build.

Diesel Kratts, t-shirts, and rod lavers or stan smiths.

Yeesh... I was 15, so it was probably a rugby shirt, light-washed jeans or cargo pants, white athletic socks, and white basketball shoes. (I don't play basketball.) That was pretty much my outfit every single day.

Wow, 10 years ago I was still in undergrad and was a metal head. So, my outfit pretty much consisted of torn jeans with black boots and a black heavy metal band t-shirt. Had long hair and unkempt beard, too. To summarize, I looked like a bloody idiot.

+1 here's another, from 1999, one of our engagement pics: It's the same BB suit I wore last week.

I still wear my green Eddie Bauer wool winter jacket, daily. Oldest piece of clothing in my rotation, and shows zero signs of slowing down. Golf attire: Various colors of khakis & polo shirts. Lots of solid T-shirts Eddie Bauer / Abercrombie checked shirts. Some sort of Bass-style brown shoes.
