Ten years ago I was much fatter. So I actually fit into RTW.
While still having something of my current love of dramatic clothing, my size and more junior role (not to mention, the associated relative financial restriction) meant I generally wore lots of mid-market department store items from the likes of House of Fraser, John Lewis, Allders, M&S, and so on. Some interesting colours, but generally more conservative and restrained than I wear these days. Losing weight really did help me shake off some sartorial shackles. It took me years to adjust to a different figure though; for years afterward I still wore items that didn't really suit my new build.

here's another, from 1999, one of our engagement pics:
It's the same BB suit I wore last week.
Golf attire: Various colors of khakis & polo shirts. Lots of solid T-shirts Eddie Bauer / Abercrombie checked shirts. Some sort of Bass-style brown shoes.
They were probably passé even then.
