Illmatic recieved 5 Mics upon entry... at a time when the score stood for something. Not over time... not ten yrs after.. IMMEDIATELY.. that is impact.

Nas not being able to sell albums is a myth. Most of his albums have reached platinum or double platinum status. His last 3 albums have reached no 1 on the billboard the first week.

Putting RD over Illmatic? NOOOOOOOOOOOO

as for Charisma to go against the West Coast... Biggie didn't either... he was constantly stating he had no beef, because quite frankly he was scared of Death Row... and who wasn't at that time? (u just made me diss Biggie frown.gif) shoot most West Coast rappers LIKED Nas

the only rappers not scared of the West Coast ever were Tim Dog, Wu-Tang and Mobb Deep plus any Southern Rapper from Houston and Atlanta, becasue Rap-A-Lot was into way mob shit than they were.

ps.. Jay-Z's discog is highly overrated... Nas' is underrated.

I also mentioned Kendrick lamar. He is part of the Black Hippy Crew (Him, Ab Soul (his last album was wow), ScHoolboy Q and Jay Rock)

I guess it's a matter of perspective...I thought those two songs were not that great.. every time I listen to It was written, I always skip by those two..maybe a reason why the source did not give it 5 mic's either..I already said Illmatic was a classic..I agree that he has sold albums, even though there were a couple sales duds here and there..i.e Life is good, lost tapes, greatest of.. again though Im not talking about album sales.. Im talking of skill..and to be straight, the beef started before Pac joined deathrow.. and even in the beginning Big stated he had no beef with Pac before he joined deathrow..Pac joined deathrow to have ammunition to go back at Big even though Big from the very beginning did not want to go at his homey..there was also a reason Big had more guest appearances on other artists records than any rappers at that point..again versatility and skill..Im not dissing Nas..Nas is one of the don's of hip hop and personally I take him over Jay everytime... but not over Big.. but again its personal preference..

of course it is about perspective and personal preference. Just wanted to be clear that Nasir ain't a pushover.

but just to correct you again. Life is Good debuted no 1 on the charts... his 6TH no 1 album...

DA DON Nasir Olu Bin Dara Jones...

Need more submissions here, my turn:

High school prom. With a fedora and a white shirt collar over my black suit jacket I think it goes without saying that I was drenched in pussy that evening. I both love and hate the freedom my parents gave me to experiment my personality when growing up.

10 years ago I was wearing pretty much what I wear today, only it was new then.
