One can do that with most DB coats if one so desires. Not saying it's a good idea, but it's possible and that's still a peacoat.
Actually, if you want an example, try 1800's military uniforms.
For an example, some bits from the movie glory, where the guy playing Col. Shaw wears his jacket both ways throughout the film.
