House in Lexus Christmas Commercial?

Lexus has a new commercial with the IS 350 in the living room, and I was interested in knowing more about the house, or that particular kind of house. It's basically a glass rectangle almost with floor to ceiling windows. I know these houses are really popular in the modern crowd, but does anyone know how much they cost to build, and if the average contractor could pull it off?

It'd doable, but with a really cold climate, I don't know how energy efficient it'd be.
