I have been shaving my legs for years. No justification needed.
Pants or bed sheets feel on me a lot better without the hair.

I've been a road and xc cyclist for 10 years and never shaved my legs. It's just part of the status quo. Hardly anybody that does it in cycling will get any sort of noticeable benefit from it. When I worked at a bike shop I would secretly laugh at the guys who were merely weekend warriors with shaved legs. Who are you kidding dude, come on.

Just a guess, but you don't do it competitively, do you? Just another dress code...
