Mike Patton's ass landed on my head.

I went to the Faith No More concert in L.A., which they claimed was their last. It was very exciting and they rocked the house. The mash pit was so brutal I had to move back. The best part was when Mike went crowd surfing while singing Pristina and ended up falling ass down on my head and shoulders with pretty much most of his weight. I held him up and the crowd regained control of him and he was passed back on stage. But damn! I came out of the venue and I never were more excited since the Grinderman concert the day before.

Fuck yeah. Nick Cave and Mike Patton are easily on my short list of favorite musicians ever.

synopsis:

acecow popped wood because of a man's ass on his face.

^^^ sure, but quite possibly the best, most versatile voice in all of popular music.

FWIW, I wonder how it would turn out if Patton sang some classical. Schubert, or Gershwin. With a little training...who knows?

He's always impressed me with his versatility, but he did some downright amazing stuff on Bjork's Medulla album.

His stuff with John Zorn was pretty cool

Did he turn to you and sing "it's not funny, my ass is on fire"?
