Everyone heard Christmas In Harlem?

Really don't think having Dipset was a great choice. Having the whole song with G.O.O.D. music artists would have been a lot better imo

Ghostface Killah's new album is the first CD I've bought brand new since...Big Doe Rehab? **** was $14 at Best Buy, which seems crazy for a first-week release price.

edit: never mind, it was Bulletproof Wallets around this time two years ago. #stillaprettytoneyalbum

Also, just got this instrumental album. Vol. 1 + 2. About as east-coast as it gets. Damu the Fudgemunk (no comment on the name, or rather, what was he thinking):

Anyone got any good hip-hop reads to share? I hadn't thought of the site in a long while, but dumpin.net was great rap nerdery fun when it was still active. Their Expert Whiteboy Analysis 100 list is precisely the type of music criticism I adore.

The tone and general narrative of these write-ups beats the **** out of the Pitchfork-esque approach to music criticism, since it's less concerned with showing off vocabulary and more focused on storytelling.

Then again, I'm biased because I love reading about hip-hop written by people who are clearly longtime and genuine fans of the genre.

Egotrip's Raplists and Can't Stop Won't Stop are good starts. There used to be this white guy, a dj on the east coast if I'm not mistaken, who had a blog and was SUPER sharp.
