Winter boots that aren't ugly - Page 29

So my Just Cavalli winter boots arrived today. Two issues: They are size 43.5, not 43 like listed, and the main part is not lined in fur (description stated "LINED IN REAL FUR"), only the shaft. May be a blessing in disguise -- since it's slightly too big I can fit a liner or thick socks in. I can keep them and get a $10 partial refund (lol) or return them for a full refund. Honestly leaning towards keeping them as I'm doubting I can find any less ugly winter boots and I need them yesterday. What should I do?

These are the sought-after "not ugly" boots? Am I the only one who feels this way?

Just keep them and put a thermal liner in the shoe to keep that part warmer.

is the sole leather? i cant tell from the pic. i think there cool but i couldnt pull them off cause im a nerd from utah!

After seeing a couple of fit pics of yours Uncontrol, those boots look like they would go down a treat. Forget about what the desciption said, being able to customise your clothing to suit the way you wear stuff to me is preferable and desireable.
I'd keep em, also consider the fact that the best SF could throw up in reference to a winter boot thread was mucas soled duck feet boots; finding another pair that works will be damn difficlut.

Haha yeah. Thankfully I found a single solution for three problems: 1. Slightly too big. 2. Toes not lined in fur. 3. No real insole so it feels rather hard. Solution: shearling insole!

That is actually an awesome solution and could probably work for the myriad fools who mis-size Aldens as well. Where in Narnia did you get a shearling insole though?

Those aren't super ugly or something ( truth be told, I expected a lot worse when I read 'Just Cavalli', which is usually something like the Italian Ed Hardy in terms of trashy gaudiness...), but I dare to doubt that those are the "least ugly", uncontrol-approved ~$300 winter boots on the market ( especially if a fur lining isn't an absolute necessity for you ). I don't blame you, though, since 90% of the suggestions in this thread have fallen out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, or just just wouldn't go with your style...
