Are those suede? And where can I buy laces like that
post #215 of 601
yeah suede boots. not sure where to buy laces tho, they came with the boot!!

they are these: http://www.ssense.com/men/product/kr...de_boots/27494

lampo zips on sides. the "welt" throws me off tho.

the KVAs look good as a rugged winter boot.

what do people think of trickers monkey boots? i was never one for monkey boots but these are pretty cool i think, now have a goodyear sole. the shape is really nice, more like a rugged leather chuck taylor

Im not sure about suede as a winter boot but good luck

yeah. those kvas are okay but are you buying them because you like something intrinsic about the boot or because they r kva? mostly look quite normal to me, not great not bad. dont know what your issue is with the toebox is though, it looks appropriately rounded for the thickness of the sole
post #219 of 601
i bought them for the lug sole mostly.also imagined them going well with jeans over the boot. when they arrived i thought to myself, "these are heavy duty". lampo zips proves that. they are quite heavy as well. the fact that they are a bit boring peeves me. wish there was a little more detail. it is a classic silhouette tho. toe box doesnt look too bad upon further review lol. side pics look better than birds eye pic.

still looking...

i mean timberlands have a lug sole lol. i mean i feel like any old black boot with a lug sole would work as well and look as good as that pair, particularly since suede does seem a bit impractical for winter boots..

i would take all black docs over most of the boots in this thread
post #222 of 601
yeah, thats why im not sold on these. ill wait for my other boots to come in and make an executive decision.

Lack of zipper kills these for me

Try John Varvatos, these boots are good. Only one problem with wooden sole is it get slippery in snow.
