Another shot of the actor Antony(Tony) Hamilton wearing R.M. Williams Craftsman  boots in chestnut. Always thought these boots go great with jeans or as seen in the photo Levi's 501s.

This morning's new arrival. Buckle Boot in Chestnut, Roo Leather and Brass Screwed Sole

Have been wearing Macquaries recently, but thought I would switch to Buckle style and the squarer toe. This is the Chestnut, and Black shortly on order...

Some observations -

- no where near the fit of the normal boot, but I love the style

- as I opened the box, I imagined I would see a lighter richer brown, and almost different color hues as per previous pair...
but, this pair is dark mono color brown, plus seems to have a much smoother texture and grain on the leather than previously

Think that's all for the time being 1. Work of Art.JPG 5440k .JPG file 2. Work of Art.JPG 5067k .JPG file 3. Configured.JPG 6211k .JPG file 4. Close Up.JPG 5580k .JPG file 5. Famous Sole.jpg 6444k .jpg file 6. versus Macquarie.jpg 6453k .jpg file

Apparently the do a complete recraft with existing upper and elastic sides and rehab them like new for AUD170.

Am I the only one that doesn't really 'get' Chelsea Boots? I can look at pictures of them all day and admire the leather and craftsmanship but I just can't see how they look good in an outfit.

Is it an Australian thing? Are all the Australian SF members just huddled in this thread?

Why do you believe this is the case?

No, I'm sure there are a couple of other people on SF and around the world that appreciate these boots too.

Shows how often you visit SF. The Aussies have their own thread cobber.

Thinking of getting a pair of All Rounders

http://www.rmwilliams.com.au/home.asp?pageid=30a4383191c26b9b&departmentproducttypegroupid=30A4383191C26B9B&productid=3BD867E83DD6A086&producttypeid=3AECD6850AE70656

I've looked around the boards for sizing information and for reference, I wear:

9.5 EEE AE Strand
9.5 EEE AE Clifton
9.5 in RW Beckman (Gentleman's Traveler)- even though the D width is too tight on me
10 in Converse
11 in Adidas Samba

Based upon what I've been reading, it appears the 9 H is what I should go with.

Thoughts please?
