Yes, of course. You may think you know the answer to that question when looking at a pointless pair of Ferragamo loafers. But try again after taking a glance at LeatherSOUL's amazing dark blue Dovers (in the thread on olive shoes below). Blue may be a trickier color than olive--I seem to recall Flusser making a superficially reasonable point s.where about shoes not straying too far from what might be considered the natural spectrum; clearly, though, he's spent too little time at Aubercy or in consulation with Marc Guyot. But those Dovers show it clearly can be done.

These look like Stacy Adams to me.

Many moons ago I saw a cool very dark blue suede pair at C&J on Jermyn street. Passed on them, but wouldn't mind adding something similar for the right price.

The finish on those Berluti Warhols certainly pledges its allegiance to sapphire. I think it's a beautiful color and, though bit unconventional, easy to wear casually.

Navy blue shoes look great. I used to have a pair of chiseltoe loafers in a dark navy. The other week I was actually looking at getting another pair of shoes in navy, but the search for the *right ones* continueth...

I think that one of the reasons that we don't see more Navy shoes is that makers don't normally have them in their inventory. Probably too risky to allot much of their production to an unusual color

I wandered into the Neiman-Marcus store in San Diego's Fashion Valley one day and started discussing shoes with a young salesman named King. Our discussion shifted to Brioni suits, but before I left he showed me a pair of navy blue penny loafers with a slightly lighter blue lake on the vamp. The shoes were absolutely stunning and something I would wear, sparingly to be sure. IIRC, they were Zegna Couture and quite well-made, but I cannot justify spending $2000 on navy blue loafers (even though they did come in their own wooden box ).

If you are interested in navy blue patina, i have just bought a pair of Berluti Alessandro with a navy/blue nearly black patina....
I have just spoken to my contact at John Lobb and they're now offering deep navy blue models ( Beckett for example)...
Nothing is more elegant than deep navy blue shoes with navy suits,as long as the shoes have a deep strong patina...
For a long time , i had to go to JM Weston to buy the famous navy blue Mocassin but now Lobb and others are offering superb navy blue models...
The era of the nothing but black after 6 pm is dead and buried...
