I need to order this too! So many fond memories of renting the VHS from the public library for a dime during the summers. We'd watch when it was rainy out.

It had an interesting style from the trailer, I'll check it out over the week. I typically hate "horror" movies but I can tell this is probably one of the ones I won't mind. Doesn't even look scary. Probably more disturbing.

Ordered Snowpiercer ondemand a few nights ago. Great stuff. Over the top but a lot of fun. Kind of depressing ending.

Rewatched City of God last night. Love every minute of that movie. Despite 90% of the characters being shitty people, they're all compelling. The movie very serious but at the same time totally enjoyable.

One of the reasons i had no intentions of going to brazil for the wc this year...Russia not looking much better for 2018, and qatar better be lenient about alcohol in 2022 or I wont go then either...

Looks like HBO has been playing a few more wes anderson movies lately...I know if was brought up a little earlier. For those who havent seen them id suggest checking them out I know at least 3 are on...djeerling/moonrise/rushmore

That's available on demand?  Might have to try and track that down.

It's an interesting movie that didn't quite work for me. Either it needed a bigger script or the existing script needed a bigger movie.

Had some nice, long one-shot sequences, though. IIRC.

I really wanted this to be great. It seems I'm alone as the picture is universally loved.

Re-watched Blade Runner. I liked it a lot more this time around. Maybe I'm older or I'm watching the Final Cut version.

A lot of SW&D-esque clothing pieces there; I'm surprised they haven't been replicated, namely Deckard and Gaff's shirts and Deckard's coat.

Blade Runner can be funny that way. I had fond memories of it as a kid, but when I watched the '91 Director's Cut in the cinema I nearly fell asleep. Then, when the the Final Cut came in 2007, I got all 5 versions and nearly watched them back to back with great pleasure. Now it ranks up there with Once Upon A Time In The West for me as 'movie candy' I can just put on and enjoy for the cinematic work.
