I didn't know this. The fight scene was hilarious.

His wife was really cool too. Apparently she also played Nicholson's wife in About Schmidt.

Rewatched Urban Cowboy for the first time in about 15 years. Wow, what a blast from the past--its a very realistic film in so many ways, yet it seems like a completely other planet. Makes you see how much society has changed since the 70s, when John Travolta was a wife-beating, pickup driving hillbilly romantic.

I beg to differ. M3D is the best semi-softcore porn 3D movie that actually exists.

They make them because of expectation and the hope that another Avatar will come along. But since no one in Hollywood know anything they haven't kenned to the fact that the reason Avatar was a BB had little to do with 3D.

And they're losing money...

It's just not worth the extra prod, post and distribution expense.

I have a friend who became and expert in 3D due to his work on some Saw movie. He's the loneliest guy in town.

It's his own fault. Saw in 3D may single-handedly have killed 3D.

Dude...

I feel sorry for my friend. After the Saw fiasco he directed another movie that has been in distribution hell for three years.

Sweet, sad and funny, like all of Alexander Payne's movies I have watched.
They seem to me like variations on the same theme, and I liked them all.

Brilliant movie. Loved every minute of it. Sometimes shooting in B&W is a bit of a gimmick but it plays perfectly here.

And it was great to see Bruce Dern back on the screen. I've always felt he was under appreciated.

I hated every movie last year, but for Her.

No love for American Hustle? Blue Jasmine?

Finally watched frozen after buying into the hype. Great animation but story was tired and predictable. Let it Go was highlight imo but was under impression or would be sung in the final third of the song.

That reminds me, I need to rewatch Her. That may have been my favorite too. I remember being so engaged that I watched it entirely in the edge of my seat. Great story and direction, visiually appealing too

Hated some, disliked others, indifferent to the rest.

So it goes.
