Caught "Sounder" (1972) onTCM. I felt little heart tugging in this one. I'd probably watch it again if just not to replicate the feeling that my heart experienced. Enjoyed it

I'm watching High and Low via Hulu right now. Fantastic so far. I don't think it has always been available, so I recommend watching it before it's gone.

Hail Hail Rock n Roll

Went to a dance Friday night and the band played many Chuck Berry tunes...

So I thought I would revisit this "concert" movie.  It was OK.

Cheers,

Saw the Lego movie at the cinema yesterday with kids of a friend... And that fking song is still in my head!!! The beginning was the most entertaining part, the entire message focused on that American everyones-a-champ kinda message. Very impressive animation, but I'm not sure why it's so popular--the story was extremely mediocre, at one point I almost feel asleep... Was uplifted to see Will Ferrell at the end for a bit... such blatent marketing!! But harmless I guess, Legos are cool.

I saw Enemy with Jake Gyllenhaal on Saturday night. It was really strange and I am still trying to piece together the story as to which parts were real and which weren't.

Yesterday went to the drafthouse to see the Lego Movie, was really entertaining. I liked it. Cheeky Batman jokes too. biggrin.gif

LA Confidential. Really enjoyable. I forget who posted about it recently, (maybe Kaplan?), but thanks for the rec!

I just watched Gravity.  Must say that I was not thrilled with it.  I would not recommend it to others as others have recommended it to me.

You did not cry during dead-child story? You Sir have no heart & probably hate our freedom and unity.

it was definitely over-hyped but i enjoyed it in 3d, if you watched the movie in non-3d then its a total waste imo
