Any movie is better on a big screen, but there are few overt special effects that make it unmissable in theatres. It focuses more on narrative and acting. If you're a serious movie watcher, don't miss this one, regardless of how you view it.

I agree, I liked it also.

American Hustle was terrible though. JL acting was so over the top and was a complete misscast.

I liked Bale and Adams but thats about it...i didnt find the plot entertaining enough. If this wins movie of the year ill be pretty upset.

Just watched the 1st episode. Seems very promising.

Who can ID this movie for me. It stars John C Reilly, he and a friend are house painters, he's kind of a deadbeat husband, they drink beers, and that's about all I remember. Wife is religious. Not a comedy. Takes place in the south? It must've been good if I want to see it now.

Philomena

Well acted and interesting...

Another one of those movies that will win awards because of the sympathetic subject matter or because of a sympathetic cast member.  It will not win based on its acting, script, or camera work.

So there...

I actually enjoyed it as a whole.

I've been watching movies while sick.

The Queen of Versailles was really, really good.

Re-watched The Big Lebowski, which is always fun.

Now I'm watching Bad Boys II. I always feel like I should be a little embarrassed about how much I love this movie (and the first one), but it's just so damned much fun.

My least favorite Truffaut movie.

Another very good Kaurismäki.

I don't see how this is anymore insightful.
