I agree with everything except for the "boring" part. I had fun watching it.

Saw Muscle Shoals last nite. A doc about the recording studio . If you don't know what it is you prolly won't think much of it but if you do it's pretty cool . A bit long but the seats were really uncomfortable so maybe just me

A lego movie trailer has an overpriced something joke? How about a hundred bucks for a little bag of plastic blocks?

You can get the "My First Princess" set for $9.99.

Ender's game was good, but it's not a lord of the rings level book adaptation either.

From the standpoint of someone who read the book, things just moved too fast. Everything was glossed over, the character development, the training, the battles, the epilogue...no time to spend on the elements that made it such a great young adult story.

However at the same time I can see how it would be ploddingly slow to someone who didn't read the book. The battle and training things take up all the time between the meager pieces of character development. Everybody who read the book really wants to see a bunch of zero gravity dodgeball battles, but to a non-reader it's just going to look like some fancy action special effects to make up for the lack of a solid story...even though there is more story there that they didn't include (the timespan of the book is several years if I remember correctly...the movie makes it look like 3 weeks which kind of makes the advancement shallow and unbelievable)

I liked Enders game fwiw. I wish they did do more character development in the laser tag games. Like the ender figuring out that you should jump in feet first and shoot between your feet to minimize the area you can get shot at. Without that the enemy gate is down quote made no sense

Conspirators of Pleasure, by Svankmeyer. A must see for any fans of the surreal. It's hilarious and slightly unsettling at the same time. This guy always makes peoples' little rituals so fascinating, big fan.

I mean, I liked it...I just think it could have been better (although fear of it not being good enough is what kept it from being made any earlier).

Especially since they always went head first...also, I am pretty sure they got the positioning of the sacrificial body wrong on the move to escape from the battle they were late to.

I distinctly remember acting that out with my friend in my 8th grade English class...I think the book was fairly descriptive of how the bodies were oriented.

Also, Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
wtf, why was the alien and the queen egg just outside of ender's window?

Seriously, they didn't scout 200 meters from the edge of their base?

kanye was quoted saying it was the best movie hes ever seen...clearly the morons on RT couldnt go against his word. I'll treat RT for what it is, a bunch of know it alls who deem their opinion as the only one that matters...That being said i wouldnt want to watch PR.

Saw gravity like a week a go...ill agree with others sentiments that it was of the same vein as avitar for the genre but its plot was lacking and some aspects didnt makes logical sense...but then again its space where the only order is chaos and logic is thrown out the window.

Amen to the queen egg part. That shit was retarded. Also let's go to the battle room to practice. I'll show you my moves

Well with the risk of pissing people off for talking about a series and not a movie (redirect me to another thread if it exists!), I started watching Sons of Anarchy this weekend, season 1. Now, I'm not saying that the acting is good, or that the story will be good... But it sure is entertaining and satisfying to watch. You've got a bunch of guys riding around on motorcylces acting like badasses, corrupt cops, bitchy women, action (fights, guns, etc) and a very authentic "Americana" feel what with the decent soundtrack and general last-of-a-dying-breed ambiance. It's like a West Coast Sopranos for Harley bikers from the 70's. Not enough hot chicks though LOL
