I just looked at the movies playing at the local cineplex. I really don't want to see any of them, just looks like a bunch of shit.

I'm watching JFK Director's Cut now (again). I'm sure you've seen it but if you haven't, please give it a twirl. Both are Oliver Stone masterpieces.

actually, i have never seen, JFK. i do own it on VHS, but i no longer have a VCR. i plan on watching it sometime. i find movies about presidents to be very intriguing.

In that case, see the Director's Cut when you can. It will run 3.5 hours...yeah, another long one, but believe me, the time really flies with this film.

I was just reading up on Harmony Korine and I ran into this on the Wiki article for his movie Mister Lonely.
Quote:
Korine's largest film to date with a budget of $8.2 million,[3] Mister Lonely earned $386,915 in its first nine months[8] — $167,396 in the United States and $219,519 in other territories. [9]

It's kind of amazing that he got to make another film after that.

Just finished the Dollars Trilogy. I thought A Fistful of Dollars was the best. Maybe it was because I saw that first...

Yesterday I watched "The perks of being a wallflower" and "Afterschool", both with Ezra Miller, who´s awesome, and both high school movies, the first one quite hopeful for loner type kids and the second one kind of unsettling.

The first one is actually a great book. One of my favorites while I was in high school.

Watching Duck Soup with my daughter and she's laughing her ass off. Further evidence that the Marx Bros films are timeless.
