In the sort of autobiographical All That Jazz, Joe Gideon (Bob Fosse) is working on a movie about a controversial comic.

All That Jazz is a masterwork with maybe one the best film endings I've ever seen.

I was reminded today that I still haven't watched In Bruges. A fact that had to change. Great fucking movie.

Yeah that was kind of a stealth good movie. Previews made it look terrible but it turned out to be really smart and funny and well acted.

Speaking of well acted, definitely watch SLP as soon as possible. I'm sure you won't be disappointed by De Niro.

I only watch movies when they come to cable or netflix, but I will keep an eye out for it.

Saw it as a kid at the theatre. Watched it many times since. A wonderful film. Not only Stewart's great performance, but Hardy Kruger, Peter Finch and Darling Dicky. All superb.

Two movies.

Closer. Almost too painful with a great performance by Julia Roberts.

Lost in Translation. One of my favourite films. Subtle, patient, calm, yet quietly erotic and poignant, which is pretty hard to achieve. Good friends of mine whose opinion I respect did not like it. You?

I remember enjoying it a lot but it's been a couple years. Time for a revisit.

looper= easily the most predictable movie if you have seen star wars episode 3

I liked LIT....Not great but a good flick.

Watched "Compliance" last night. 1 1/2 hours of my life I can't get back. So stupid...I finished watching to see how much more stupid people could act...

I thought it was pretty well done, but it was really frustrating knowing that all of this stuff happened more or less this way (names and locations were changed). Shit like this is why I make sure to teach my daughter to ask for a lawyer any time she's accused of something, even if she knows she didn't do anything wrong. If the girl had done that, about a half dozen people could have avoided ruining their lives.

It just made people look like idiots that they could fall for something as stupid as that....
