I started reading The Help a few years ago. About 1/3 through, some things at school came up so I lay it aside. I didn't continue to read it, and didn't read a lot in the past years in general. When I heard that The Help will be in the theaters, I was excited, but thought I would wait until I have read the book first before watching it. Well, so time went by. And now that I finally started to read more again, I have a list to work off and it will take some time before I will pick up and finish The Help again, so I decided to just watch it now. I don't remember everything from the book, but from what I recall, it's pretty accurate. I liked the casting. Overall very good. Good atmosphere.

Did you mean the movie heat with burt reynolds? Thats the only heat i have coming up on netflix. I made it like 10 minutes in before i had to turn it off

i assume he means the one with al pacino and robert deniro. not on netflix instant, but they have the dvd.

Restrepo. Pretty incredible. The final scene where they show the guys heading to the base sounding so cocky and young was just heartbreaking.

Also saw Adventureland today. Pretty good. I always enjoy movies with Jesse Eisenberg.

the nut-punch was the best part of that movie. laughed my ass off.

The second guy ritchie sherlock holmes has been on HBO a lot lately, and I have to say there are so many effects just for the sake of effects, that feel over the top. Come on guy stick to what made me like you in the first place.

I didnt like this when I saw it 6 or so months ago, and I am not liking it anymore now. However it falls under the category of movies I will watch no matter what because it is the best thing on TV at the time.

The Master by Paul Thomas Anderson. Great Movie, excellent acting and seriously one of THE MOST gorgeous photography ive seen in a movie. certainly not for everyone. its unique and fresh take compared to the mainstream crap we get nowadays.
