There's a thread for that...but I've had a string of good Netflix (streaming) movies recently, I'd recommend all of these:

Tell No One
Butter
Safety Not Guaranteed

Depends on what you like.

Things I've watched recently that were good

Prime Suspect. British tv police procedural starring Helen Mirren. The first couple of seasons seem to be the strongest

Going Postal. Also British TV, but just a two part miniseries about 3 hours long. Steampunk fantasy/ black comedy that reminded me a lot of Terry Gilliam.

Bernie. Enjoyable true crime story set in East Texas. Jack Black is great as the title character.

Secret of Kells. Beautiful animated film about the creation of the Book of Kells. My daughter and I both loved this one.

Louis CK-Live at the Beacon Theater

Jim Jeffries - Fully Functional

Me and You and Everyone We Know. Really well done indie drama. Might be a little twee at times but I loved it.

Plus, there's always the entire series of Arrested Development, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, Shameless (UK), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, King of the Hill, Home Movies, Archer, Cheers, Frasier, The Office (both US and UK), Louie, Portlandia, Beavis and Butthead, Ren and Stimpy, South Park, Bob's Burgers, Sons of Anarchy, Peep Show, and on and on and on

did not quite get tho the scene at the end when seth went into to michaels office to approve an IPO sell to harry. what was that about?

The IPO he was selling had actual value, unlike the junk they sold to everyone else. It was Giovanni's attempt to redeem himself.
