I'll have to give it another shot. I heard a lot of mixed reviews on The Man With the Iron Fists and tried watching it but couldn't really get into it (and martial arts movies are one of my favorite genres.) I think it had something to do with RZA's awful acting.

Finally watched the game based on it being the topic of discussion a few pages ago. I havent been more captivated while watching a movie on my computer in a long time.

I had only previously seen a random scene where Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

penn tossed the keys at douglas

, never watched more of it because it was mid movie and this was a few years ago.

Glad you enjoyed it! In fact I re-watched it again last night (despite seeing it recently). Just the whole vibe and suspense compels you to keep watching to see how things unfold.

Just watched The Cure.

This movie hits really close to home as I lost a childhood friend to CF (he was 16). If this movie doesn't make your eyes water just a little...

Watched ParaNorman. It was a well done movie. Had plenty for kids and adults--though honestly some of the stuff in it might have scared little ones pretty bad. Still, well done.

I watched this movie a few weeks ago, but I think it's kind of an insipid film although I like martial art movie. But there are some beautiful girls (bitches) in the movie and the fighting scene of the a nice couple with the Lion bandit in the restaurant is the scene that I like most.

Catching up on the boring indie movies on Netflix that I've been putting off.

Tiny Furniture - 6/10. I'm probably in the minority here for liking Lena Dunham's Girls. I don't love it, but I do watch it and enjoy doing so. Anyway, this has a lot of the same people playing very similar characters, but it's not as witty, and is kind of inert dramatically. Dunham's writing is good and the acting here is ok but overall it gets a meh from me.

Me and You and Everyone We Know - 8/10. I liked this a lot more than I expected. It has a bit of the stereotypical indie quirk, but the stuff with the kids in particular is very touching and funny. And John Hawkes is awesome as always.

Blue Valentine - 7/10. A definite actor's movie. Michelle Williams really owns this one. Gosling isn't bad but he can't really keep up. If you've ever gone through a divorce or the end of a long term relationship, this rings really true. A bit painfully so, I have to say.

Ann Hathaway (nice fucking ass aside) was a joke. That Batman voice has to go. The twist at the end with the woman was just idiotic.

The clown car fake NFL teams: oh, and the guy running back that kick with the field crumbling behind him didn't even look back and notice that immense shaking and noise?

They attack the stock exchange and Bruce Wayne loses all his money on put options the SAME DAY and nobody dials that back and says halt those transactions? Ya, ok. They take all his money so the plot twist of the chick taking over the company can move forward? How stupid.

The ghay 42nd street style fight between the cops and the bad guys where that valiant Matthew Modine runs out in front in his Sunday best... wait they had like missiles and guns and stuff but are fist fighting? Ha ha ha.

All those cops underground for MONTHS and the bad guys execute that so perfectly they can neither dig themselves out or find an exit? And who is stupid enough to send an entire city's cops into a bunch of tunnels? Who thought that up?

And, the pinnacle: the blast radius of the nuclear device was 6 miles... and the city starts celebrating. Ok. Um, like wouldn't there be a mountain of radiation, you know, like kill you quick levels with a blast detonated so close? Like Chernobyl is a wasteland, and like downtown Gotham is just fine? Did he use the Bat Shield?

Oh lawdy lawdy laaaawdy I could go on and on with the stupid stuff in there.
