Good movie.

In general, I think that musicals written for the stage get mediocre-to-lousy movie adaptations. There are exceptions of course, but most of the best movie musicals were written for the screen.

Have you ever seen The Thin Blue Line? That one is even more infuriating. I actually know a couple of guys who were in the Dallas DA's office when all of that was going down.

Wernt there two that came out like right around the same time a few years ago? I feel like I watched both, but the first I saw was a musical and wasnt the one I thought it was.

Dunno. The only one I'm aware of is the Tim Burton adaptation of the musical starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter.

Outside of the 2 I mentioned....oh...and the Wizard of Oz(if that is considered a musical), you could not pay me to watch one. Not my thing.

Same could be said about action movies, comedies, etc. I don't know, I think life is kind of dull without a little silliness. I can't just watch serious dramas all the time.
