With some trepidation, the wife and i watched The Goon last night. We laughed harder than a cocksucker in a fucking dildo factory, if you know what I fucking mean, I mean it was so fucking hilarious I just aobut crapped my fucking pants it was so fucking good.

just thought I'd give y'all a little taste of what you're in for if you watch it, which you really should do, watch it I mean.

Watched West of Memphis. This is why I do what I do. This and the Paradise Lost doc series are absolutely stunning. This is happening in America. I have no words.

Bubba Hotep. I've owned it and I really like it. A lot going on in it on a profound level, but the girlfriend had zero patience for it. She left the room.

Les Mis.........

 

It was OK.  I thought R Crowe was persistent enough, but a little soft.  Cohen and Carter played their parts well.

There are some really good songs in Les Miserables, but Webber's musicals are too overblown for my tastes.

The Victor Hugo novel is pretty fine stuff. The musical is... Andrew Lloyd Weber quality. I was actually thought he wrote it for many years.

Yeah the novel is one of my favorite pieces of classic literature. Has there ever been a really good film version? I've never seen one that I loved.

As for musicals, Booth should check out anything by Stephen Sondheim. Especially "A Little Night Music" and "Sweeney Todd" (not the film version. That sucked despite Helena Bonham Carter)
