Took the kids to see The Hobbit.
What suck.
Kids insisted on 3D so I went a step further and watched it in the HFR version too out of curiosity.
What suck.
Firstoff, it was so fucking loud in there it made my ears ring afterwards. My kids were plugging their ears during the battle scenes.
The movie sucks on its own, the acting is shitty, the storytelling is weak, its ponderous and clownish. The music was too dramatic too often. Why does every movie need this same stupid music during fight scenes? Didn't need the rest of my complaints to change that, but wow, this was an epic fail of 3D/HFR.
The movie is so perfect and crisp that it exposes all the sets and makes it look like a stage play. It looks so bad that even my kids said 'it looks fake'. Second, the soap opera effect is terrible, you just can't get past it. Lastly, its so crisp that you see makeup and costumes just look like, well costumes.
