Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan I think were the best.

I've seen it. It is great. Reminded me a lot of Blue Valentine. Gosling pretty much played the same character.

I never understood the fascination with Bond. Never did anything for me.

When you grow up playing golden eye for nintendo 64 and watch the 30 days of bond on amc which was once a year usually feb-march i believe, well then it grows on you.

Add DC into the equation and you have me hooked.

Watched the new Total Recall last night...I liked it alot better than Arnolds.

Didn't really like how much kate beckinsdale was in it...(did I really say that?) well not her so much but her character.

If you are referring to Goldeneye and N64 I assume we are around the same age. Did nothing for me then and does even less for me with Daniel Craig. Like I have said, I like him as an actor, but not as Bond. Then again, I think the Bond character is pretty cheezy.

+1. Always thought Bond was stupid, no matter who played him. And when you kids were drooling over Goldeneye on N64, the real men were playing Quake2 deathmatch on their tricked out PCs with 3dfx Voodoo2 video cards.

I grew up watching the Connery films with my dad. I also read many of Fleming's original novels and short stories. There is a cheesiness to them but they are still enjoyable. The later Moore films and the Brosnan films were pretty terrible. Brosnan's especially were just crap.

Nothing against Connery, loved Zardoz, Sword of the Valiant, Highlander, etc. Just think Bond sucks is all.

Your more likely older by a few years...mwink[1].gif

No cod2 was my game but back in n64 days golden eye/smash bros/cart

I still probably played 30 hours a week of n64 in college a few years ago. Mostly freshman and sophomore year. Mostly smash bros. I am convinced that myself my current roommate and my other 2 roommates from school are the best smash players in the world. We would litterally play 4-6 hours straight pretty much every day.

Id be in my room doing work the kids next door would come in and say "quick sticks" and that would last for at least a couple hours.

We were puritsts. 11 stock FFA high items with no hammers/stars/hearts/tomatoes

Most series were usually best of 7, so you can see why it took so long.

Falcon punch! (or was that Gamecube era?)

No shit aside, Pokemon Stadium 1/2/3(?) for N64 was best.

I haven't played video games since 8th grade. I grew out of them and then moved on to despising them.

Oh I dont play them any more either, but it made for good drinking games. ( I lied I still play against my roommate in fifa) but thats to the extent of my video game playing. ( This is saying a lot seeing that I am co founder of a multi-million dollar xbox team )

Lawless is on tap for tonight, couple of good actors and a time period in history I enjoy so I'm looking forward to this.

I want to +1 this, but alas, NES emulation is a guilty pleasure of mine. Every once in a while I will Super Mario Brothers 3 it up for old times sake.

+1

Moore was pretty bad, Brosnan was worse. Timothy Dalton was decent, although his movies sucked balls. I've always thought George Lazenby was outstanding, and should have stayed on. David Niven was pretty awesome as well smile.gif

Also, Bond is one of the few film genres (if I can call it that) that my wife and I have unreservedly in common.
