Isnt there a way to get hdmi off your computer? Otherwise roku box, apple tv, mini Mac and competitors, some TVs even have web apps that let you watch Netflix off of them

dont know how to get hdmi off of it, maybe there is a usb/hdmi cord. will have to look into that.

my TV does not have internet, though i would really like that. maybe ill try apple tv. thanks.

I know that my tech nerd buddy did it but I also remember him having to fuck around with it for about 15 minutes to make it work, so I have no faith in my ability to make it work.

I use Roku box and I think it is wonderful. My recommendation is the Roku box. Can order it from amazon for $100 for top of the line or something like $70 for basic box.
