I saw Wall Street and Romancing the Stone on my return flight from Africa. Two great 80s flicks. Michael Douglas has aged very well. Kathleen Turner, not so much.

EDIT: I should apologize to Kathleen Turner. Her significant change in appearance is due to medication for arthritis.

Watched Ted last night.

I'm not one for stupid comedies, but wasn't horrible.

I saw 21 Jump Street yesterday during a lazy day about. It was kinda hard to put my finger on it, be it editing or the acting, but it took me about 20 minutes to "adjust" to the movie and get in the groove with the style and humor. That said, the second half of the movie was good fun.

I saw it in theaters. I thought it was utter crap.

Going to enjoy watching The Talented Mr. Ripley tonight.

Collateral yesterday. Awesome movie.

Have The Proposition on blu-ray and will likely watch it tonight. It's an early John Hillcoat movie which I've seen and was blown away by. Basically it's the closest anyone has come to a film version of Blood Meridian.

If Lawless is even half as good (I'm seeing that one this weekend) it will be worth the price of admission.

Whoever rec'd Four Lions, its indeed pretty funny.

Watched American Reunion last night. It was a nice little bit of nostalgia for me since I was 16 when American Pie came out. Definitely wasn't expecting anything wonderful but it did what I expected and gave me some good cheap laughs with the gf.

Ok, The Raid: Redemption was an alright movie but the people that were talking about how awesome an action movie it is and how incredible some scenes were, really there was nothing here that John Woo hasn't done (better) and the writing here must have been done by a college student

I thought the fight scenes were really captivating.

Finished snowtown. Was quite good. I was in awe of how the main boy had no acting experience before. l enjoyed the endings cinematography and plot device. The only part that was difficult to watch was the toenail.

I just watched Get him to the greek, a film I thought would be too trashy for me to enjoy, and actually found it absolutely hilarious. Laugh out loud funny every 5 minutes for 100+ minutes
